Well to begin with, the demo was ok. The project is yet to come. Hope it goes as the demo did. My exams are to come real soon and I don’t seem to have gotten into the groove yet. That sucks!! Hope I get it soon though. Besides these, there is something that I have been meaning to write about.
Two babies had been swapped in an hospital unknowingly. There is a boy and a girl. Swapped says the mother who got the girl child and not swapped says the mother who ended up the boy. These people are fighting for the boy child and there are apparently no takers for the girl. One is a Muslim family and the other seems to be Tamil Hindu. Both famlies claim to have given birth to the boy. The girl child I guess must have materialised.
Even as I type this, I am losing my patience. This seems to be the hottest topic going around in the tabloids. Whether the parents are doing this for publicity’s sake or they really are aliens who don’t possess a heart I would never know. Both the children share the same blood group and a DNA test has ensued. There was this small interview kind with these parents and they both claimed that they’d have absolutely no issues with whichever kid they land up. But they contradicted the very darn statement by visiting temples today, praying to the Great Lord to help them obtain the boy. This was there in the papers too.
The girl baby looks so cute, so does all the kids/babies of this world. But honestly, if I may say so, in comparison with the boy, the girl really looked so cute. But she lay there with none of the parents wanting it. It is awful to think abt. What, I believe, is the worst thing is that, these parents are going to bring up the girl with the thought that they could have got a boy instead. Would they ever be happy?? It disgusts me to think abt it. They would repeat this story to the girl a million times. It doesn’t always have a great impact on a growing child.
Nothing could really be done now. But all that I wish could have happened, was that the media didn’t hype this up so much, to make the thought of wanting the boy more, bore into the head of these parents. Now, the girl will be brought up, might be happy, might have a great life, but I think it could have been better if this entire incident hadn’t happened, for she would have been rejoiced more, just as much as any other baby would have been.
